Digital Logbook Solution for GxP-Relevant Processes

The Challenges
Logbooks were paper-based, requiring heavy manual effort and causing issues: illegible entries, unclear chronology, and blocked logbooks during review. This led to inconsistencies and error risks.
The Solution
The paper-based solution was replaced with the Smart Log Book<sup>(c)</sup> a database-driven electronic system. Using automated Excel-based registration and dedicated preparation, 900 logbooks were imported in one day. Access control was managed via existing Windows Active Directory groups for seamless integration.
The Result
Review effort was significantly reduced, while transparency increased. Parallel usage during reviews eliminated downtime. Data is now securely documented and accessible—boosting compliance, efficiency, and traceability.
