The Challenges
Parts of the network and communication infrastructure were technologically outdated. Key components were no longer supported by vendors or were under expiring maintenance contracts. This posed a significant risk for continuous GxP-compliant operations.
The Solution
Together with the client, we developed a strategy to replace the affected network components. After technical and regulatory analysis, outdated hardware was replaced with modern, high-performance devices with long-term support. Simultaneously, software versions of operating systems and applications were updated. Qualification and validation of the new infrastructure and software followed. All measures were documented according to GxP requirements – from installation documentation to functional and load tests. Seamless integration into the existing environment and proof of functionality ensured maximum operational security and compliance.
The Result
Network modernization led to significantly higher system availability and improved fail-safety. Compliance requirements were fully met, as confirmed in internal and external audits. Network complexity was reduced, simplifying long-term maintenance.
